Description: A rare Taoist image of the god Kuei Hsing, Deity of the Pole(North) Star, patron deity of writing and patron deity of scholars. He holds an officials cap in one hand and a brush in the other. He rides a carp transforming itself into a dragon, symbolic of the student who through diligent study, becomes an official, and is exalted in society. Repair to ribbon.
