Tibetan Lacquered wood coffer box

Description: A small lacquered wooden box with silver hinges and attachments, made to look like a type of lacquered leather box , popular in Tibet. The Central Asian honeycomb pattern is very archaic, as is the treatment of the Triratna (3 jewels) on the front of the box. A c14 dating is available.
