Liao Gilt Silver Dancing Girl Costume

Description: A very rare Liao Dynasty gilt silver pair of breast covers decorated with Phoenixes (or possibly pheasants) and lotus nipples, for a performer or dancing girl. Small holes around the edges allowed each piece to be sewed onto a cloth costume as well as slits on the sides which allowed the pieces to be tied to one another.
